For the past week…I have been craving spaghetti with MEAT SAUCE. The last few times that I made spaghetti…I have been making it with MEATBALL. My kids prefer meatball while my husband and I prefer meat sauce. We have some kind of PASTA a least once a week. Last week we had chicken parmesan. This week we have spaghetti with meat sauce and lasagna stuffed shell and its only TUESDAY hahaha.
INGREDIENTS
1 tsp olive oil
2 lb. lean ground beef
4 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
12 oz. dry spaghetti noodles (any brand that you prefer)
2 (24 oz.) jar tomato basil marinara sauce, such as Classico
1 (14.5 oz.) can petite diced tomatoes
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 tablespoon garlic powder
2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
1 teaspoon chili flake
1 tablespoon chicken powder
GARNISH
grated parmesan cheese
chopped fresh parsley
INSTRUCTION
In a large pot or dutch oven add 1 tsp olive oil then break beef into large chunks then add in minced garlic and salt.
****I only put 1/2 teaspoon salt because I added chicken powder and the chicken powder is salty (in my opinion). If you like it more salty…then just add the salt in the END!! Add the salt before you serve.
Let beef brown, stirring and breaking up beef occasionally, until cooked through. Next, add in marinara sauce, garlic powder, brown sugar, Italian seasoning, chili flakes, chicken powder, and tomatoes can.
Turn the heat to simmer and cook for about 30 minutes. I like to keep it on the stove on low simmer for hours. Remember to stir occasionally. Season according to taste. Serve with your FAVORITE PASTA.

Let the sauce simmer for at least 30 minutes.

Remember to stir occasionally
