By far this is the EASIEST way to get some finger licking chicken wings. I used to put my wings in the airfryer and then I would coat them with the sauce…but that usually takes so long when you are trying to cook for a family of 6!!! So, I started cooking them in the crockpot during the day …when I am busy running errands or just doing some household works. Just throw everything in the crockpot …set it and GO!!! When you are ready to eat….stick it in the oven for a few minutes and you have some DELICIOUS crispy WINGS!!! You can basically do this with ANY of YOUR FAVORITE sauce!!!! I will do the other sauce that came with this HONEY BBQ set that I got at Sam’s. I know that once I saw this set but with 3 different FLAVORS at Costco. Whatever your favorite sauce is…GIVE IT A TRY!!! YOU won’t be DISAPPOINTED!!!
INGREDIENTS
4 lbs of chicken wings (frozen)
2 cups of Honey BBQ Sauce (some for basting too)
SIDES:
celery
baby carrots
cucumber
ranch dressing or blue cheese
DIRECTIONS
In the CROCK POT pour in the FROZEN chicken wings. Cook on low for 2 hours. Next, pour out the juice that has render from the chicken wings and pour in 2 cups of the HONEY BBQ sauce. Stir and COOK on LOW for another 2 hours.
While you are waiting for the chicken wings to be done…WRAP a baking pan with FOIL and set ASIDE.
Once the CHICKEN WINGS are done…take them out of the crockpot and place them onto your prepared baking pan. Bast them and turn the OVEN to broil and broiled them for a few minutes (KEEP A CLOSE EYE on them). Remove them from the oven and turn each wing to the other side and bast them again and place them back into the oven for a few more minutes. SERVE them with ranch dressing or blue cheese. My family loves to eat them with baby carrots, celery sticks, and cucumber. ENJOY!!!
*** If you like to dip…put some sauce in a microwavable bowl and microwave some sauce up.
