HAPPY JULY 4TH!!! Are you ready for some BBQ and PICNIC?? For some reason when I hear JULY 4th…I think of FIREWORKS, picnic, BBQ, and LOTS LOTS of outdoor FUN!!

I love making desserts in a trifle bowl for parties or get together. Its so pretty and festive and super EASY to make. For your next party..you should definitely MAKE ONE!! You can also change it up and use whatever you have on hand. You can use chocolate cake, whip cream, strawberry, and top it with chocolate shavings. You can do an OREO one too…so so many possibilities. I LOVE making this trifle bowl for 4th of JULY or Memorial Day!!  For Easter….I make a carrot cake and also another one using PEEPS as toppings.

INGREDIENT

1 box 5.1 oz box vanilla-flavored instant pudding mix
4 cups milk
2 loaf of POUND cake cut into 1-inch cubed (store bought or homemade)
2 cups strawberries, sliced and divided
1 cup blueberries, divided
6.5-ounce tub of fat-free cool whipped topping or you can make your own with whipping cream.

DIRECTIONS

Add vanilla pudding mix (mix according to instruction in the back of the box) and milk to a large bowl. Whisk for 2 minutes and let sit for 5 minutes.

Place half of the POUND cake cubed in the BOTTOM of trifle bowl. Next, layer half of the pudding mixture over the POUND cake pieces then add a layer of the whipped (cool whip or whipping cream) topping over the pudding.

Add half of the sliced strawberries and blueberries to the top of the whip layer.

REPEAT with the other half of the POUND cake, pudding mix,  and whipped topping.

Arrange the remaining strawberries and blueberries on top of the whipped topping.

Refrigerate for 2 to 3 hours before serving.
