This week is a REALLY CRAZY week for us…we have Cabbage Ball Play OFFS, Cheerleading Tryouts, and After School Meeting. For me…I have subbing all 5 days!!! My 3rd grader also has a Fais Do Do on Friday that I volunteer to make SHRIMP CORN BISQUE. My KINDERGARDEN has SNACK day on TUESDAY….which she is on the letter “Z” and THIS MOMMA has no CLUE what to make to correspond to the letter “Z”!!! Any SUGGESTIONS would be greatly APPRECIATED!!! LOL Then I have to volunteer for the first communion this Saturday and we have a crawfish COOK OFF at the kids school on SUNDAY. So …with the crazy busy week…I MEAL PLAN and even made most of my SIDES and prep all my salads for the WEEK. I marinated all my PROTEINS and I EVEN got the items for what I am making for FRIDAY!!! WOOHOO!!! SInce I am making a shrimp and corn bisque… I got the shrimp peel and devein.
SUNDAY & MONDAY
STEAK …I used this CHICAGO steak seasoning from Sam’s and IT IS SO FLAVORFUL and delicious!! I just sprinkle it to EACH piece of steak and threw it all into a FREEZER gallon size ziploc bag.

Season Pasta
INGREDIENTS:
1 lb pasta (cook according to package) drain and set aside
1 tablespoon butter
1 teaspoon chicken powder
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1 teaspoon ketchup
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon sugar
*** you can add salt to your taste…the chicken powder is already salty so I usually don’t add any more.
DIRECTIONS:
Once you drain the pasta ….add the pasta to a big bowl and add all the ingredients and MIX WELL. You can store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. When you are ready to serve …microwave for about 2 minutes. Its great as a side dish with the steak.
Alfredo Pasta
Ingredients
1 lb pasta (cook according to package)
3 tablespoon butter
2 C milk
1 teaspoon minced garlic
1 C heavy cream
1 C freshly grated parmesan
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
DIRECTIONS:
In a large pot over MEDIUM LOW HEAT add the butter …once it melt add in the minced garlic and stir…making sure the garlic DON’T BURN!!! Next, add in the heavy cream. Now add back in the cooked pasta and GRATED parmesan cheese and MIX. Add in the salt and pepper….you can adjust according to TASTE!!! Garnish with more parmesan and SERVE!!!
Pasta Salad
INGREDIENTS
1 lb pasta (cook according to pasta) drain and set aside
1 1/2 C Italian dressing (I like the ZESTY one from Kraft)
1/2 C sliced tomato
1/2 C sliced cucumber
1/2 C sliced olives
1/2 C sliced red onions
1/2 teaspoon cracked black pepper
1/4 teaspoon sugar
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
DIRECTIONS
In a large bowl add in the pasta and all the ingredients EXCEPT the dressing. Add 1 1/2 C to start then add MORE if you like….mix and adjust the seasoning according to taste.
***I added the sugar to cut the tart from the Italian dressing.
You can basically add any VEGGIES you like to this pasta salad!!! I have added artichoke hearts…and even spinach to this salad. HERE is some more suggestions: craisin, feta cheese, pine nuts, golden raisin etc…endless possibilities.
