I love making these and having them in my refrigerator so when the kids want a quick bite to eat. They actually freeze very well too. I actually stick them in my air fryer for about 5 minutes at 300 degree. They are great for when you are having a party or get together. If you are planning on making them for a party …make the slices smaller so they will be bite sizes and serve them alone with something else on a charcuterie board or something. I will be making these for the upcoming holidays. I find that when I have a little get together…my guest loves to have finger food so they can mingle. It also gives them a little taste without being FILLED up fast.
INGREDIENTS
1 loaf French Bread (cut into 1in thick)
1 lb shrimps
2 tablespoon mayo
1 teaspoon Cajun seasoning
Mexican blend cheese
dried parsley
1 teaspoon pepper
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon paprika
GARNISH
chopped green onions
DIRECTION
Preheat the OVEN to 350 degree.
I diced the shrimp into very small chunks then mixed in the mayo, pepper, garlic powder, cajun seasoning. Set aside while you are slicing the French bread. I cut the French bread into 1inch thick. Next, taking the shrimp mixture. Spread evenly over the top of the French bread. Then take the Mexican blend cheese and sprinkle over the French bread…then sprinkle the paprika and dried parsley over the shrimp toast. Lay the shrimp toast in a sheet pan..DON’T FORGET TO LAY A PIECE OF PARCHMENT PAPER over the sheet pan. Place the sheet pan in the preheat oven.
Bake for about 25 minutes for the shrimp to cook through. Once the TOP is a nice golden brown color and the cheese has melted. Take it out the oven and garnish with chopped green onions. SERVE HOT
