I hope you guys had a great 4th of JULY!! We had an amazing time with family and friends. Basically, we just ate our way through the day LOL. Those are usually the BEST way to spend celebrating our FREEDOM right??? I find that most of my holidays now consist of BAKING LOTS of LOTS of goodies!! I usually bake the same kind of treats for all HOLIDAYS…the only thing I change up is the COLOR and the type of add on. For example; like this FREEDOM bark ..for Christmas …I just added red and green M&M and Christmas sprinkles…ALL of these treats can be done for any HOLIDAYS!! Well, off to do some cleaning from all the baking 😉
INGREDIENTS
16 oz bright white candy melts or white chocolate morsels
6 oz red candy melts
Red, white and blue milk chocolate M&M’s
Oreo thin cookies –broken into 4
Red, white, and blue star sprinkle
INSTRUCTIONS
Break each Oreo thin cookies into 4 pieces. Set aside.
Line an 11×15″ jelly roll pan (or regular 9×13″ pan), with parchment paper. Set aside.
Pour white candy melts in a microwavable glass bowl or porcelain bowl and place in the microwave for 1 minute. Take it out carefully and stir with a spoon until it is completely melted. If it isn’t completely melted..stick it back into the microwave for another 30 seconds. Keep doing this until its fully melted and smooth.
Pour red candy melts in a small microwaveable bowl, and pour blue candy melts in another microwaveable bowl.
Microwave the blue candy melts in 30-45 second intervals, until most of the way melted. Remove from microwave and stir to let the residual heat melt the remaining bits.
Repeat process with the red candy melts.
NEXT, pour melted white candy melts into jelly roll pan and use rubber spatula to smooth into an even layer.
Alternate drizzling melted red candy melts and blue candy melts in vertical lines over the surface of the melted white candy melts. (you could also just spoon bits of red and blue in a non-pattern over the surface as well).
Using a small wooden skewer or butter knife, swirl in a figure eight pattern to swirl the red and blue into the white. Repeat over the entire pan. You’re not looking for a pattern here, just pretty swirls.
Sprinkle with Oreo pieces, M&M’s, and star sprinkles.
Refrigerate for 1-2 hours, or until hardened.
Lift edges of parchment paper to remove bark from pan, and separate the bark from the parchment paper.
Break into pieces.
Keep refrigerated until ready to serve. Keep any left overs in an airtight container.

In a porcelain bowl …melt all the candy melt in the microwave
