Out of all my KITCHEN APPLIANCE…I have to say that MY CROCKPOT is my absolute FAVORITE and MOST USED APPLAINCE!!! SO…whenever I have a chance to make something in the crockpot…I JUMP at it. I usually only try to make something in the crockpot when my days are SO FULL of errands and things to do that I am away from home. Usually, during the school year…I would use the crockpot more. If you are looking for something different and flavorful…then this chicken taco is DELISH!!! I actually DOUBLE my batch so that tomorrow I can use the chicken to make WHITE CHICKEN enchilada. This week is a very short week but SUPER BUSY WEEK for us…so, I wanted to make something that I can use for 2 MEALS!!!
INGREDIENT
6 pieces of chicken breast
4 tablespoon taco seasoning
1 tablespoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon salt
2 cup of pace picante sauce (medium)
1 can green chilies
GARNISH
flour tortillas
lettuce
chopped tomato
avocado
salsa
guacamole
sour cream
DIRECTION
In the crockpot place the chicken breast. Then ADD in all the seasoning. Place the lid on and COOK on HIGH for 4 hours. After it is done cooking ….taking 2 forks and shred the chicken. Season according to taste ( you might have to add some more salt). Any leftover…keep in an airtight container and keep in the refrigerator. This recipe heats up really well. Actually, I think the chicken taste better the next day..because its more FLAVORFUL.

After 4 hours …taking 2 forks and shred the chicken

Add 2 cups

add in 1 can of green chiles

Serve with flour tortillas or hard shell tacos. Sides avocado, guacamole, salsa, cheese, sour cream, and jalapeno.
