I told you that this week is a CRAZY week so dinner is neither a ONE PAN meal or its gonna be a RICE and soy sauce hahaha. I think my kids would DIE if I ever do that hahaha. Today, I spent most of the day with my 5th grader at a function so I needed something that was gonna be easy and they can just eat it with corn or toast/bun. This meal is so easy to make
INGREDIENTS:
1 pack chicken drumstick (12 drumstick)
2 cup BBQ Sauce (Sweet Baby Ray)
1/2 cup honey
1 tablespoon garlic powder
1 tablespoon onion powder
1 tablespoon Slap Ya Mama ( cajun seasoning)
1 teaspoon cracked black pepper
DIRECTIONS:
PREHEAT oven to 400 degree.
Wash the drumsticks and dry with paper towel. Next, cut about 2-3 little slit on the drumstick. Lay them on the baking pan (make sure to wrap the baking pan with HEAVY DUTY FOIL …make CLEANING so much easier). Next, in a little bowl..mix all the seasonings (garlic powder, onion powder, Slap Ya Mama, and pepper together. MIX well then seasoning all the drumstick generously. Place the baking pan into the oven and bake for about 30 minutes. While the drumstick is baking….mix the BBQ sauce and honey and set aside. After 30 minutes…take the chicken out and bast with the BBQ sauce …then CRANK up the oven to 425 degree and bake for another 15-25 minutes…until the drumstick has a nice golden crust. If you like boil it for a couple of minutes. Just remember to KEEP an eye on the drumsticks if you BOIL it.
Take out the oven and serve while its warm…I serve mine right out of the baking pan because all the juice is so yummy…I LOVE to serve it along side some TEXAS TOAST and some pickles or potato salads. The options are endless….we LOVE BBQ food around here…makes us think its SUMMER …laying out by the POOL 😉

Season the chicken really well

RIght before I blast up the OVEN to 425

Serve with Texas Toast, steak cut fries and pickles
