Today was one of those day that I was so tired and JUST wanted to make something FAST and EASY!!  Yesterday I had already marinated these pork rib tips….and was gonna bake them…but instead I wanted to try AIR FRYING them instead. I am so glad I did…because they taste AMAZING!! I love the way they turned out…and as they were cooking…I cleaned up the kitchen and HELPED the girls with their homework instead. I love EASY and FAST meals!! This will definitely be on repeat in my meal planning!! This is another VERSION of suon kho (salty pork rib tips).

 

INGREDIENTS

3 lbs of pork short ribs or pork rib tips (cut them into sections)
1 tablespoon minced garlic (optional)
1 tablespoon garlic powder
1 tablespoon onion powder
1/4 cup  soy sauce
3 tablespoon oyster sauce
3 tablespoon light brown sugar
1/4 cup honey
1 tablespoon cracked black pepper

GARNISH

Sliced Green Onions

SERVE

White Rice

Sliced Cucumber

 

DIRECTION 

In a large pot…place the cut pork rib tips inside and fill with water. I like to blanch over my rib tips to get all the gunk out. Boil for about 15 minutes then drain and WASH each piece of rib tips until the water runs clean. Place the rib tips inside a container….and set aside.

MAKING the MARINATE….add the ingredients in a bowl and stir until everything dissolved. Stir really well…I actually stuck the bowl inside the microwave for about 3 minutes. This process is strictly optional…I find that microwaving the ingredients up…helps the honey and brown sugar dissolved. Once the marinate is MIX really well…pour it over the pork rib tips. Let the rib tips marinate in the REFRIGERATOR OVER NIGHT.

 

COOKING PROCESS 

Place the marinate rib tip in the AIR FRYER in a single layer. Cook for 25 minutes at 350 degrees…REMEMBER to toss every 10 minutes so the rib tips will cook evenly. Once the rib tips are done….garnish with some more cracked black pepper and sliced green onions. Serve with a NICE bowl Jasmine RICE and sliced cucumber.

*****I pour the REST of the marinade into a small sauce pan and cook it on medium low heat until it becomes a little thick…you can use this as a dipping sauce or drizzle over the pork rib tips after its cooked.

 

 

Place 1 layer into the air fryer

 

Airfry for 25 minutes at 350 degree…remember to shake every 10 minutes

 

garnish with sliced green onion

 

Serve with sliced cucumber and jasmine rice
