1 pound imitation crab meat
1 pack cream cheese (8oz)
1 pack won ton wrapper (50 wrap)
1 small onion
1 T sugar
1/4 t salt
1/4 t white pepper
1/4 t garlic powder
2 green onion stalk (chopped)
1 egg (for the egg wash)
Using a food processor put the medium onion in and finely chop. Using a colander with tiny holes…you want the onion to stain out the liquid. Once most of the water/liquid is strained out…put it into a large mixing bowl. Taking your imitation crabmeat…roughly CHOP it into small pieces…if you like…you can put it in a food processor and ROUGHLY pulse it a few times. Once you got it roughly chop …add that to the mixing bowl with the cream cheese, sugar, salt, garlic powder, white pepper and chopped green onions. MIX WELL.
Next, crack the egg into a small bowl and add 1 TABLESPOON of water and mix. Using this egg wash to seal the crab rangoon.
Taking 1 wonton wrapper and add 1 teaspoon of filling to the center of the wrapper.Brush the edges with the egg and pinch the corners together (make sure there is NO trapped air) to form a four cornered star
Fry in 350 degree oil until browned and crispy, roughly 2-3 minutes.
Serve with sweet chili sauce
